Senior Finance Manager - part-time

The role of the Senior Finance Manager is to work in close partnership with the Managing Partner and wider leadership team to deliver actionable and timely financial intelligence to support the commercial goals of the Singapore Studio. You’ll deliver commercially focused management and finance reporting, working closely with the Client Service team work to minimise risk and maximise financial performance.

The Role in Detail

  • Work closely with the Managing Partner and Chief Finance Officer to create the annual budget for the Singapore studio. You’ll also manage, monitor and report on budgets throughout the year.
  • Carry out analysis including revenue, forecasting, billing, utilisation, profits and capacity in order to provide information and performance improvements to the Managing Partner.
  • Work with the Client Services team to prepare weekly reliable revenue forecasts.
  • Undertaking budgetary controls such as variant analysis.
  • Drive internal process in order to increase efficiency and reduce unbillable time.
  • Working alongside the Client Services team, guide and support them to efficiently and effectively manage the finance process both internally and externally.
  • Be the finance expert in the room, having an in-depth understanding of the appropriate regulatory areas and keeping abreast of new developments.
  • Working within the Finance department’s overall strategy to support the achievement and delivery of the Company’s goals and objectives.   
  • Manage the finances of the Singapore studio including: general ledger, cash book management, bank reconciliations, preparing monthly pre-payments and accruals, and preparation and posting of journals in order to prepare a financial statements for the leadership team.
  • Effectively manage the sales ledger process, which includes sales invoicing, dealing with queries on invoices and the credit control (including the collection of debt).
  • Weekly management of Singapore cashflow.
  • Manage the monthly payroll for Singapore, employing the right amount of forward planning and maintaining effective working relationships with our payroll providers.
  • Administer employee benefits such as healthcare.
  • Processing of employees expenses on a weekly basis, and managing petty cash and currency for employees.
  • Work as part of the team to deliver your areas of responsibility in terms of the annual statutory UK audit on brief and on time.
  • Be able to collaborate with Elmwood Singapore Company secretary to comply with local compliance and Singapore’s filing requirements.
  • Have a good local understanding of the tax requirements in Singapore and collaborate with accountants and provide accurate information for the preparation of tax returns.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly GST returns. 
  • Local administration of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001 for the Singapore studio, working closely with colleagues in the UK to deliver on brief and on time.
  • Support colleagues with finance related queries in the Singapore studio, dealing with enquiries effectively and in the necessary timeframe.
  • Act as the Paprika champion for the Singapore studio, responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a good working relationship with the Group Paprika champion in the UK.
  • Carry out Finance induction for all new starters ensuring they have a fantastic introduction to our systems and working practices. Deliver additional training based on needs.
